While switching health care insurance providers is often a yearly pilgrimage around the changing of the year, this may actually be done anytime throughout the year. There are exceptions to this rule, so make it a point to ask a knowledgeable health care insurance agent what the scoop is before changing insurance carriers mid-stream.
